Michael D. Gillespie
Mr. Gillespie is a co-founder of PLE and BlueEQ™, a consulting, coaching, and training organization that focuses on emotional intelligence, leadership development, organizational change, and strategy acceleration with organizations worldwide.
Michael is a serial entrepreneur. As a thought leader in distance learning and coaching, he has developed educational programs for some of the largest companies in the world.
Michael was a co-founder of TrueNorth Corporation, a distance learning company that pioneered a unique training delivery system designed to increase participant retention, engagement and maximize return on training investment. TrueNorth was acquired by FranklinCovey. He was a co-founder of Quantum Learning, an internet training company. Quantum Learning designed and produced PricewaterhouseCoopers’ online financial planning campus, which won 11 best practices awards. He consulted and created marketing and educational programs for Citibank, Bank of America, First Union Bank, Lincoln Benefit Life and Transamerica.
Michael later joined INVESTools as an Executive Vice President and was instrumental in launching BusinessWeek Investor Workshops and CNBC University. He was the co-founder TrueNorth Academy which developed education programs for eBay University, TD AMERITRADE, Investor Business Daily, optionsXpress and OptionsHouse. TrueNorth later merged with GlobalBased Technologies. As a founding partner in Tradewind Financial Services he developed distant learning programs for optionMONSTER Education, MarketClub/INO, and Zacks Investment Research. His other endeavors include SERAS, a real estate investment firm and Partners in Law Enforcement, a consulting company dedicated to transforming leadership in law enforcement agencies throughout the world.
Mr. Gillespie is a sought-after and compelling keynote speaker, consultant, and advisor on emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy, alignment and execution. He has been a guest lecturer at the internationally ranked Entrepreneurship Program at Brigham Young University, Tokyo Roppongi School and Singapore Management University.
Michael received his Bachelors of Science degree in Economics, and Masters of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Strategic Planning from Brigham Young University.
Kelly D. Newman is a PLE and BlueEQ™ Senior Partner. He has over 18 years combined experience in executive business development, management consulting, leadership training and education.
Kelly is known as a highly energetic, effective and humorous trainer. Whether it is one-on-one or in a large auditorium, he is able to effectively reach and connect with his audience. He has worked with high power leadership development courses for companies like SunRoc, Utah National Guard, Lakeland Health and more.
Early in his career, Kelly involved his family in Humanitarian work around the globe. Travelling to countries like Ecuador, Ethiopia, and Panama, they assisted in building several orphanages in various countries.
Kelly has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Master’s in Education from Brigham Young University. He also obtained his Master’s of Business Administration from Western Governors University.

Michael recently retired as the Chief of Police for the City of Rancho Cordova. His previous assignments include the Asst. Commander of Investigations (Homicide, Robbery, Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, etc.), CSI Bureau Commander, Correctional Watch Commander, Communications Commander, Patrol Sergeant, Internal Affairs Investigator, Patrol Officer, Bailiff, and Correctional Officer.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from CSUS, a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of La Verne. His doctoral dissertation examined traumatic stress in 9-1-1 personnel.
He is a graduate of the Sherman Block Leadership Institute, LAPD’s West Point Leadership program, FBI National Academy Session #251, and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government local leader program.
In his spare time Michael likes to stay fit and has completed ten marathons and four triathlons.

Mr. McMullan has worked as a Senior Partner of the Futures Corporation responsible for curriculum development and leadership consulting. Michael has designed and facilitated leadership development programs for both public and private organizations. Additionally, Mr. McMullan is a co-founder and co-author of The National Learning and Resource Center, an online library of training materials, tutorials and podcasts designed to improve employee engagement and management performance.
A seasoned speaker, consultant and facilitator, Mr. McMullan has trained people of all ages, educational backgrounds and professional titles. Recently, he has trained leaders from Microsoft, Amazon, Micron Technologies, HCA, Simplot, FireEye, NetApp, Caterpillar, NAPA Auto Parts, Childhaven, Concur, St. Luke’s, and many other Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. McMullan has been a keynote speaker for the Women’s Council of Realtors, Association of Training and Development, SHRM, NAPA Business Development Group, an instructor at the College of Western Idaho, and has trained thousands of professionals to improve engagement, efficiency, and effectiveness. His presentation style is innovative, thought provoking and engaging; he has a unique ability to accelerate leadership processes and performance.
Mr. McMullan earned a bachelor of arts degree form Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Organization Development from Bowling Green State University. He currently resides in Meridian, Idaho with his wife and five children.
